Ombuds – Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada Gatineau (Québec)

Reporting directly to the Deputy Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), the Ombuds is accountable for providing national leadership for the establishment and ongoing development, implementation and delivery of Ombuds Services across CIRNAC as a confidential, neutral and informal resource to facilitate the resolution of work-related concerns by providing all employees with a confidential, impartial and informal resource in an independent manner; ensuring Office compliance with Government requirements, promoting the Office’s commitment to a values-based workplace, and fostering a vibrant ethical culture throughout the Office and the department; leading collaborative communication and education activities and providing authoritative advice and interpretations to senior management and employees on related matters; building Office capacity, and managing effective relations with external and internal organizations on related issues.
