Ombuds – Indigenous Services Canada, Gatineau (Québec)

Reporting directly to the Deputy Minister of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), the Ombuds is accountable for providing national leadership for the establishment and ongoing development, implementation and delivery of Ombuds Services across ISC to facilitate the resolution of work-related issues and concerns by providing all employees with a confidential, impartial and informal resource in an independent manner; providing executive leadership for the development and implementation of integrated services supporting the “raison d’être” of the Ombuds; promoting the department’s commitment for the improvement of people management in ensuring a work environment that encourages fairness, productivity, safety, inclusiveness where systemic issues are being addressed by senior management; and building departmental capacity and managing effective relations with external, i.e., Canadian Forum of Ombudsman, academic, and internal organizations on related issues.
