Deputy Ombudsman, Complaints Analyst Positions, Ombudsman Saskatchewan

The Ombudsman’s role, as an Independent Officer of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, is to help ensure that provincial and municipal governments are accountable and responsible to the public and deliver public services fairly, properly, with integrity and in a timely manner.  The Ombudsman Act, 2012, gives the Ombudsman the mandate to investigate or informally address complaints from the public about matters of government administration, make findings and recommendations, issue reports and educate the public about administrative fairness and the role of the Ombudsman.  The Ombudsman also serves as Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner.  Under The Public Interest Disclosure Act, the Commissioner provides advice to, and investigates disclosures of allegations of wrongdoing and complaints of reprisal from public servants.
