The Québec Ombudsman’s Annual Report: get moving to improve public services

In the occasion of the tabling of her Annual Report in the National Assembly of Québec on September 24, 2020, Ombudsperson Marie Rinfret presented her findings concerning the quality and integrity of Québec’s public services.

“This report contains numerous examples of problems that we considered major when we had finished investigating.  The public bodies concerned came to the same conclusion and this led to commitments from them to remedy the issues. Any yet, time went by and nothing happened. The failings were known, described, decried and came with solutions. Now it’s time for the authorities to get moving,” Ms. Rinfret pointed out.
