The Town of Bridgewater Nova Scotia seeks the provision of Ombuds services

The Town of Bridgewater is soliciting expressions of interest for the provision of ombuds services for the award-winning Energize Bridgewater program. Nationally recognized for its innovation, the program will offer a new breed of advanced municipal services for Bridgewater property owners and residents with the aim of reducing energy poverty and providing clean and affordable energy for the community. To ensure program responsiveness to clients, the achievement of equity goals, and effective internal quality control processes, the Town will establish a dedicated program-level Ombudservice, managed by a qualified Ombudsperson.

Through this Call for Expressions of Interest (EOI), the Town is seeking proposals for the provision of this service from qualified individuals, organizations and firms. Representing the first stage in this procurement process, the Town then intends to select and invite a short-list of qualified Proponents to submit more detailed proposals.

Proposal packages will be available from the Town of Bridgewater’s Finance Department via e-mail to Annalise.Wentzell@bridgewater.ca. Technical questions may be directed, via e-mail ONLY, to Leon de Vreede, Sustainability Planner at Leon.deVreede@bridgewater.ca.

Proposals must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. local time on Friday October 23rd, 2020 by email or courier to the following address:

Leon de Vreede, Sustainability Planner
Town of Bridgewater
60 Pleasant Street
Bridgewater, NS B4V 3X9
Leon.deVreede@bridgewater.ca

Only those selected will be invited to enter the next phase of this procurement process, which is to submit detailed proposals in response to a forthcoming Request for Proposals (RFP). Proponents may also be required to participate in an interview and submit references.
