2026 Conference
CALL FOR SPEAKER / SESSION PROPOSALS
Submission Deadline Extended: May 8, 2026
We are pleased to announce that the 2026 Forum of Canadian Ombudsman (FCO) Conference, Ombuds: Institution of Trust - Strengthening Public Confidence, will be held October 19 - 22, 2026, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Quebec in beautiful Quebec City.
The conference will feature two and a half days of presentations, breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and social events. This annual gathering provides a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Canada and beyond, including Ombuds professionals working in government, education, banking, corporate, healthcare, and other sectors.
We invite you to share your expertise and experience with the Ombuds community.
Call for Presentation Proposals:
We invite proposals from individual speakers, as well as from groups wishing to co-present, facilitate a panel discussion, or deliver another engaging session format.
Sessions will typically be 60 minutes in length, though other formats may be considered. Presenters have flexibility in session design (e.g., lecture, panel discussion, Q&A, or a combination). Please indicate your preferred format when submitting your proposal.
Presentations may be delivered in either English or French, and simultaneous interpretation will be provided. Sessions may be recorded and made available to registrants following the conference.
Speakers may also be invited to collaborate with other presenters to form complementary panels or joint sessions.
Possible Topics:
A document outlining possible conference topics and themes can be viewed here. These topics are intended as guidance only, and we welcome proposals on any aspect of Ombuds theory, practice, innovation, or leadership, particularly those relevant across multiple Ombuds sectors.
