The role of the Ombudsperson is to provide impartial and confidential conflict resolution services to all members of the SAIT campus community. Conflict resolution services include consultation, negotiation, meditation and problem solving. You receive and investigate a wide range of complaints and assist in the resolution of conflicts in regards to students and staff. You will facilitate equitable resolutions that are mutually satisfactory to all parties of a conflict. You will assist parties via: analysis of problems, advisement, mediation and facilitation to assist in conflict resolution and/or carry out reviews in response to complaints as required. You will report on findings resulting from reviews and make recommendations where appropriate, and, through such recommendations, to serve as an effective influencer for positive change.  More>>>
