Reporting to the Manager, Investigations, the Investigator is responsible for investigating a broad range of complaints involving the actions and inactions of health sector organizations. The Investigator will handle a caseload of individual complaints and may also participate in a team investigating systemic issues. The Investigator will establish investigative plans, gather evidence, conduct interviews and site visits, analyze evidence and prepare thorough and objective reports including recommendations.

Ombudsperson and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner - PEI
Compensation: $157,477.87 – $202,629.86
This non-partisan, statutory officer of the Legislative Assembly administers both the Ombudsperson Act and the Public Interest Disclosure and Whistleblower Protection Act. The office plays a vital role in promoting fairness and accountability by investigating citizen complaints and allegations of wrongdoing or reprisal within provincial public services. The Ombudsperson and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner will hold office for a term of five years and may be reappointed for an additional five-year term.
