About the FCO Research Grant

A research grant in the amount of $10,000 for a research project focused on contributions of the role and practices of Ombuds to the betterment of society through increased administrative fairness and access to justice.

This research may take the form of:

  1. an Ombuds-focused research project that will contribute to higher levels of effectiveness in the implementation of the role in the Canadian context; or
  2. an environmental scan identifying all of the Ombuds roles that are operating in Canada and the creation of a user-friendly database that can be easily updated.

Open to Researchers, Post-doctoral Fellows, Graduate Students and Practitioners.
